well, I don't play new gen games on pc's anyways. if its time to game I go to a console. Though, seeing how its old (and not even mine) I would of course need a new one regradless considering the programs I use on it currently, don't work out well. ex 3ds max, creative cloud, level editor even. No. Not for me.

Found this site some time ago, been saving it for the right moment. What do you guys think of this site:

http://www.nocompromisegaming.com/

See they have the best PC's, (through my eye) Would you buy anything from such?

Yeah, you would want a newer PC for those tasks. It would be a hell of a lot cheaper to build a PC though.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ky4LmG

That's almost $300 cheaper than the cheapest machine on that site, and much faster as well. You could downgrade the GPU and get it down even more, or add an SSD. (That'll make a huge difference in using the computer.)

Quite. But I don't know how to build a pc. Far from me, really. Like, no...
One thing about that site. I can pick and choose the parts (which I hardly have an idea with any of them mean) and have them build it for me. I mean, the higher the price the better, right? They must know what's good. Got to. To me it seems like a super computer. but I could be wrong. as long as I'm using a modern pc, I'm okay with it.

btw, what a SSD?

No, and their prices are outrageous.

Something like this should be a good starting point to see how overpriced the site you linked to is:

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Xtreme_2000

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2442321

Read this from start to finish and watch the video:

Not at all, it depends on the margin the business puts on top. Go to Newegg or somewhere and add up the cost of the parts individually and see what you come up with, you might be surprised. Even then they won't be paying retail for their parts.

If you do really believe that, of course, I can sell you this Celeron 430 system I have to use at work for $50,000. Must be good at that price, right?

I think we can help you out better if we know your spending limit. There will always be something better. Give us your budget and we can go from there.

No, that site is just overpriced. It's not a good deal at all. You can easily learn how to build a PC, and even if you're scared there are much cheaper options than that site. Their cheapest option is in the same performance class as gaming laptops in that performance range. That's just sad. The build I linked is faster than they're $850 build by a wide margin.

An SSD is a really fast hard drive. It'll make everything load super fast.

my current buget now is about $400-$600.
so every modern pc is build with a SSD hard drive, I presume.

Techhog, sounds like a better idea to build it myself. But I don't trust myself with pc parts. not after before.

My last 2 builds have 250Gb Samsung 850Evo SSD's for Windows, and regular 2TB HDD's for storage.

The 250Gb SSD's are big enough for Windows and a game or program or two that you want to run fast off the SSD.

Windows flies with the SSD and the boot time is amazing.

well that's because your smart and experienced with computers, unlike me. I'd start a fire attempting to build a pc. No lie.

Properly should handle this near a stove...

What you have we would not consider a pc on this forum. More like a doorstop compared to the average system being used here.

Since you don't know much about gpus, you need to say your gaming habits and budgets. I doubt you need a top notch gpu.... You need something like a 950 class gpu I bet.

Or I'd literally go pre-built with an Alienware alpha or something. This just doesn't seem to be your thing.

I'm lost as to how you make games....

Damn! He said its like a doorstep! :awe: shit...
My gaming habits have dropped tons. I used to be a gamer when I was like 16 and ish, but that's decreased a lot. I now only play games next-gen games, when I'm "in the mood" like I need to just relax from my level building and designing, and just chill.... And I don't ever play a game like a gamer. So If I die or lose in a game, I will be like: I'm done with this shit". And turn it off. Yep. That's it.

I actually do need a super gpu considering the programs I use for designing (3ds max, all adobe software, level editors etc. so on. And even the occasional emulator I'll play. Like for it to run like if it was on the actual original system console.)

I don't do no aliens, btw. :|

sorry for the "hood-talk" but aliens and I don't go together.

Gosh, where are your manners. The older the hardware one's running, the higher the respect. :p

Exactly!! Thank-you!

What the hell? I am not a spammer, okay. I see you removed the link, I'm not here to spam anyone with offers and ads and other unwanted ish. I put that link because I was wondering what people thought of it! And if they would buy anything from it!

Rude people, just rude.

I know of no new games that run on a 5450. Granted I don't actually understand what that level of performance means today. My 290 feels like the bare minimum for gaming right now.

I understand your skepticism...

I like to play Tomb Raider reboot, and tomb raider, and tomb raider, and perfect dark xbla, and soulcalibur 4, and sonic the hedgehog new gen, and indie games like: castleminer z. Don't know why I haven't played minecraft yet... its a mystery alright. (not). Final Fantasy, and RPG reallys. oh and Silent Hill. If any of these are consider new gen which I doubt they are, I just started listed all types of specific games I play. But okay. there they are.

Wasn't referring to pc games, I believe.
