i have finalized my q6600 OC @ 3.5 ghz (it was getting way too hot even with TRUE) and i hvae been trying to tighten the timings of my DDR2-800 Kingston value ram (default imings are 5-5-5-18...i have it at 5-5-5-15 atm at default volts). I am trying to run it at to 4-4-4-12, but it was still very usntable despite me putting an extra 0.2V into it (on top of 1.8V default).

+0.1 refused to POST
+0.15 crashed during windows startup
+0.2 booted windows but crahsed as soon as i opened my start menu.

So should i just call it a day and leave it a 5-5-5-15 or can i throw a bit more volts at it? (if so how much?)

thanks guys

Aside from this i am very happy with my OC...together with my very small video card OC i got an extra 25% more performance in crysis :D

Leave it at 5-5-5-15 @ 1.8 volts.

Tighter timing will work wonders in synthetic benchmarking but doesn't do anything significant in real world applications and games.
Also, having less voltage through your memory equals longer life and cooler chips.

Are you running these at a 1:1 divider? If yes, that would be 389 mhz mem freq. You could try 5-4-4-12-2T at 2.0 vdimm, but as Cheex pointed out, you probably will not see any improvement in performance.
