Who are they to you? What do they need? Can you offer them a gift certificate for something that you good at, say like computer repair or carpentry or babysitting? Just a few thoughts!

It depends on your budget and how close you are to the couple.

Don't break the bank for someone you hardly know, but be as generous as you can be for someone you care for deeply.

At least, that's how I do it. But I hate weddings, so.... ?????

Everybody needs cash.So give them what you think you can afford. This way thier not taking it back like one of the 4 toasters they might get.

Give them what you think they are paying to have you at the reception, plate cost. If it is a close friend or family member, give more. If you are broke, give less.

It's a co-worker. Is a $100 certificate good enough? I don't want to spend too little and look stupid. Thanks for the responds.

Yeah, wish you were my co-worker!

$100 will be considered quite generous.

Enjoy!

My idea is around $100 or more for family or very close people.

$50-75 for the average wedding invitation.

But don't go broke over it, it depends on your budget. Give less if you have to.

You gift also depends on how good the food is at the reception.

If it's a co-worker why don't you guys get together and get them something really nice that no one person would be able to get for them otherwise?

Individually, I agree that $100 would be very generous, I wouldn't go over $50 myself.
