how much to sell a car

92 nisssan 240sx. 190000 miles. Salvage title due to minor accident but you know how insurance is. Has a blown head gasket but mechanic said that cylinder head is still good.

Is it true that once head gasket is replaced in a car the car won't be back to normal.

Nah, head gasket failure isn't an issue as long as the engine didn't overheat. That's the key.

That said, you should be able to sell it pretty easily. Hell, it's CL anyway so post it for $3k and see what happens.

Those things are actually pretty sought after, around here you could expect at least $1k+, not sure about Cali though.

Hah, that's a bit much. Maybe if it were a really clean 300ZX or something. That gen 240 goes for about $2k-$3k in moderately decent running condition around here.

In the same boat as the OP. I have a 1990 S13 that I'd like to sell too. 245k miles. 5spd. Runs fine. It's got a couple of slight dents and nothing major.
Dunno what to sell for. I'm in northern cal.

Really these rust buckets should be $500-800 running cars. But i've seen them go for $1500-3000.

Pending on how much the buyer watches toyko drift you might be able to sell one near $1500. Mainly because i've seen frame rail rotted ones go for that much. KA motors are like $500 since most go for the SR motors and pull out good working KA ones.

Truth. I even had an aquaintance drop an RB26DETT into a 240, though at least it was a pretty clean '95 model. Talk about a sleeper, though I thought it was a tremendous waste of $$$. Took him almost a year to get it all done, there were a lot of costs and things he hadn't considered going into the project.

what part of the country? I am getting a lot of tire kickers but thats about it. A lot of $1000 offer but $600 face to face.
