Okay, I'm planning on performing a CPU, mobo, and RAM upgrade on my computer. I was going to do it very soon, but I decided I'll wait for AMD's Clawhammer processors (or did they change the name). So that means I'll need the processor, a new motherboard, and new RAM (DDR?).
The only thing is I most likely won't have the money when they come out (September - November?), but I do now. I was figuring on putting some money away, probably a savings account (I don't have one now, just checking), so I will be able to upgrade at the end of the year. I was wondering how much people think I should put away? I was guessing somewhere between $500 - $700. I would probably go for at least 512 meg of RAM, and probably the fastest Clawhammer available when I upgrade.
BTW, I am currently running an Athlon T-Bird 1.2 GHZ, w/ 512 meg PC-133, so I would like an upgrade, but I think I can wait to the end of the year. Thanks.
