You shouldn?t have any problem running something like 275/230.
You can try running faster going up in maybe 10mhz increments. Basically, once the memory starts getting too fast you will probably start to notice ?tearing? or artifacts on the screen. I usually set 3Dmark to run just the first test (faster) and start incrementing up. You will then have to back off about 10mhz to give the card a little headroom so it runs very stable.
Once the GPU gets too fast, my 7500 would just lock up, although I?ve read some cards start to produce artifacts when the GPU is run too fast too. Running 3Dmark2001se is a good test and you can set it to loop continuously for stability testing.
