How much to charge to clean a PC?

I enjoy helping people get rid of spyware/viruses/malware/bloatware. I think I'm going to try and advertising a little computer tech support, the bulk of which I'm sure will be issues with the above. What sort of price would you charge to do a system cleanup including:

Virus removal
Spyware removal
Bloatware removal

Basically, just running Norton AV, Adaware, and Spybot plus whatever else I needed to get the "gunk" off their computers.

Anybody do this or know how much people charge for it?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

I charge about £50 upwards, depending on how bad it is, and how long it takes. Couple of hours and it's £50, anything more then it moves up.

I'd say at least $50 an hour. If you have to drive to the location then you're probably talking at least an hour...

What i'm looking to do is bring their PC to my place, where I have the tools, network, internet, etc. to get the job done, and then bring it back there. At first, this would probably just be in my neighborhood...

Your talking clean Install...I charge about 75-150 depending on how complex the setup is.

That looks pretty fair. I take it you do this as well?

Yep, not independent though, I work at a service shop. I did help set the prices for everything though.

I don't like charging by the hour. So I tell them $50 flat rate, and I make sure it doesn't take me more than one hour :)

Really depends on how bad the system is. I've seen some pretty bad ones here at school working for the University.

yea $50 sounds like a good deal but I know people that just OFFERED me $100. So I put my bets on "as much as you can get away with"

they'll just load it back on there somehow, and you'll get another $50 in 3 months. I usually wind up reformatting most of them, these people corrupt their windows so bad that they usually prefer it that way, i put firefox on there and they are all good. I usually charge $50 to reformat and idiot proof their PC.
