how much money should i be prepared to spend in scotland for two weeks? it will strictly be for souvenirs, entrance into various attractions, as well as lunch. everything else is previously paid for.
 
Are you a student? I remember paying about 7 pounds for Edinburgh castle and I believe that would be about the average for each of the cities. Cities usually offer a tourist discout card. Look into that and see if it is worth the purchase. Sometime, you spend the money on those cards thinking you'll save money, but in the end, you don't get your return on it. I would stick with the pubs for lunch. As for food, stick with pub food. Pub food is realtively cheap and is pretty filling (and no I'm not merely talking about the beer.)

As far as money goes, depends on what you plan to do, how much/well you want to eat, etc. I've used about $100 a day at each city when I was traveling, this is including room (figure $25 a night), so about $75? This is with eating a good sitdown lunch, afternoon tea/coffee break, dinner with appetizer/desert/wine, then a bar or club at night, as well as buying tacky t-shirts and stuff.

See if you can get a city-pass type deal (museums and public transportation) if you are going to be Edinburgh, those are usually pretty good deals.
