How much time (on average) do you spent in front of a computer every day?

Last night, I discovered that I had spent 15 hours in front of a computer that day, between working in the morning and random miscellaneous activities at night. This isn't a normal day for me, but I can't imagine what it's like for people that experience those marathon stints on a regular basis. By the end of it, my eyes were completely bloodshot, my back hurt, my arms and wrists felt stiff, and the worst part was that I woke up this morning only partially rested. Long day ahead 🙁

How long do you guys spend in front of a computer?

I work as a computer tech of sorts so I spend just about my whole day at work in front of a computer. Then I will go home a goof around the computer even more, or play WoW for hours on end.

Too much computer time for me.

I work in patent law (1 more year and 1 more big test until I am a patent lawyer!), so I am typing responses to Office Actions, opinions, and other documents for about 10 hours a day, then I come home and futz around on my personal computer doing random stuff, i.e., games, surfing the web etc. (I don't like to watch tv).

During the week, I'd say around 8 hours a day at work (I'm not at my desk the entire day) and 1-3 hours at home (depending on how tired I am).

On the weekends, it depends on what else I have to do. Sometimes I can spend all weekend on the computer, and other times I'll only use it for an hour total throughout the entire weekend.

My life is the EXACT same routine. Wow. 9-12 hrs/day.

Admin for a company so about 8-10 hours at work and then a couple of hours in the evening running a small consultancy business from home

Programming at work: 8-9 hours a day
Playing WoW when I get home: 3-4 hours a day

Having no sight by the time I'm 30: priceless.

8hrs work

1-2hrs video games/tv (I don't have a TV I run it through my comp so I dunno what you would count that as...

yep...spend most of the day in front of a pc at work and then go home and either play games on the pc, browse the net, or watch dvds on the pc. i live in the middle of nowhere and have 0 friends that live close by, so yeah...not much to else to do.

At the office, I spend maybe 6 hours a day in front of some terminal and then at home another hour or two surfing, or playing games.

I work as a scientist, so theres not too much computer work involved (updating samples in their database, but that's about it) then i go home and take care of bills and whatever on the computer for like an hour then meet friends on WoW for about 4 hrs (i.e. 2 runs of scolo/strat/ubrs, dont get my drops, bitch about it, hearth) then go to sleep

8-10. 8 hours of Tech Support at work and then I spend an hour or two on my computer at home browsing the internet, playing games, talking to friends, etc.

9 hours at work and another 2 hours at home. I should have picked a blue collar job that didn't require staring at the computer all day. Too stressful for the eyes. Going bling...going blind...going blind

Usually 10 hours a day at the computer for work. Maybe 10 minutes in the morning or night to check personal emails and what not. I work on computers all day, the last thing that I want to do when I get home is work on a computer and not get paid!
