So, I was cleaning up and organizing everything around the TV today...

Here's a picture

I've got a DVD player, VCR, PC, GameCube, and Dreamcast all shoved into that corner. I'm pretty much out of inputs on my cheap TV.

On a related note, you ever wonder how much money you've spent on stuff you really don't need, like video games and computers to play xvid movies?

<-- poor college student ... the ONLY 'extra' on my TV is a standalone dvd player which is missing the POWER cable ... I forgot to bring it up with me :(

edit: btw, is that the 27'' apex from black friday circuit city?

Well, my DTV inputs on the TV are either connected to the HDTV cable box or the RGBHV cable from the HTPC. Then, there's the DVD changer, VCR, receiver, audio from cable box, XBOX, sometimes a miniDV camcorder or even the S-Video from a laptop to the front A/V input

I have my DVD & DTV connected directly to my TV to avoid any signal degradation. :)

Nothing right now, hopefully a htpc soon though, just something basic but I can't decide if I want a tower or a micro atx desktop case.

I've got a 4 port component video switcher that the HTPC, Xbox, Gamecube, and DVD player are connected thru.

We have a HTPC that acts as a receiver for the TV and XBox. The DVD player is plugged straight into the TV through the component input, and the N64 gets the front inputs.

TV rot's your brain. I don't have a TV... just the twins... 955DF-T/T's. When I get the apartment in August, I'm adding a third to the family.

Even the History channel is getting nerfed :(

VCR by coax. DCT box is connected to the VCR by coax and the PVR is connected to it by RCA. DCT box and PVR are connected to cable, PVR is also connected to antenna for HDTV. Not the best setup but keep in mind it's just a cheap 21" CRT, watched only by 53-year-olds who can barely see well enough to drive.

Here's a picture of my entertainment center. Well, the second one anyway. In the first one you could see my nakedness reflect off of the tv... Well, thats enough information.

picture Click on Public.

Basically only the receiver is plugged into the tv. Everything else plugs into that. Xbox, speakers, wireless headphones for playing at night and whatever else.
