IIRC from before Google bought Youtube, their bandwidth bill was in the millions per month.

Judging from how much Google bought them for (is that right? or am I mixing up two stories?), I'd guess they take up quite a bit of space and use a lot of bandwidth, but more than make up for it in ad revenue.
