How much space for Windows server 2008?

So im setting up a small home server. Im going to be installing windows server 2008 on it, but i was wondering if it ould be worth it to pick up this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820139946
and install server 2008 and maybe a few very small programs to it. Would it fit on that SSD, and would that SSD be faster for access times than an HDD. Its R/W speeds are slow but its still an SSD so its access times should be quick.

I wouldn't have anything less than 64gb. MS recommends 40gb for Server 2008, and you'll also have to factor in the programs your putting on it as well as whatever your going to be putting on the server.

wow, thats WAYY too much. This is just for the OS. My primary SSD for my other gaming computer is only 40 and i have plenty of space left on it. W7 X64 ultimate. Will server 2008 fit on it? Im not looking for1tb of extra space here, just a few gb's.

40gb for the OS? How bloated is Windows Server 2008?

Keep in mind that's just the recommended, and it's always good to go by that when talking about system requirements. That being said, MS said you could get away with 10gb. But to me, that's pushing it.

You could theoretically fit in 16GB; my 2008 R2 installation is 14GB and that's after a few months of running. I would be fine running it on a 32GB SSD, but not 16GB. I'm using an 80GB X25-M.
