How much space does a Windows 7 install plus Office 2007 use?

I have a friend who wants to get a SSD for a primary drive and use her old hard drive as storage.

She doesn't have much money, so we are trying to decide if a 64 gb drive will work, or if she needs a 80 gb drive.

She has Windows 7 Ultimate and Office Enterprise 2007. I am trying to get a handle on how much space just these things will use.

Anyone give me actual space used for similiar installs? Even just Win7 premium and Office 2007 Small Business or Basic will be great.

my current install of Windows 7 Pro and Office 2007 Enterprise, along with microsoft streets and trips 2010, quicken2010, and few other programs and software updates is currently taking up 21.2GB on my Kingston 64GB ssd

I'm a little under 18Gb with a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 + Office 2007.

If you are using it on a desktop Hibernation is Not really a big perk.

Win 7 at default installs an Hibernation file that is the size of the RAM.

You can issue from Admin Command prompt: powercfg.exe /hibernation off

It would few GB bu getting rid of the Hibernation File.

So Ultimate + Office 2007 and a collection of small utilites (like CPUZ, cCleaner, and more) takes on my system 15GB (with Hibernation Off).
