How much should you tip your barber?

$12 haircut, and $1 tip is what i usualyl give. Should I give more?

i gave 2 bucks today although he cut it way shorter than I wanted it. it was a $15 cut.

I have had three different people cut my hair over the past 8 years...nice knowing that you will get a great cut (which exceeds a 'decent' cut) without having to ask...

to me that is worth a $5 tip on a $12 cut...

Depends. $13.75 for a cut, IIRC, and $3 if it's someone who cuts it how my wife likes it, $2 otherwise.

My uncle cuts my hair. In fact, I haven't paid for a haircut in many, many, many years.

I don't tip the lowly haircutters. They're all lowly scum beneath dignity for not having a degree in CIS/MIS. They deserve to be stiffed by those of us who bettered ourselves and should be thankful that we allow them to cut our hair.

After seeing what my wife spends on a haircut I think this is a bargain.

your supposed to tip them? i just pay them the $8 that the sign on the wall says to pay them. I have never seen anyone tip a barber

My last cut cost me $60, albeit that is Canadian. I usually tip $5.
