Being a socal resident, I'm new to this solid precipitation from the sky thing. $35 each for a 2000 Sienna doesn't sound that bad right?

I think my friend paid $50-60 for a whole set for his Sequioa

Why'd he need it for the Sequioa? Isn't that 4wd?

4 wheels are just as susceptable at losing tracting on ice as 2 wheels...

I paid $40 for an entire set at les Schwab... and if I don't use them I can return them after April 15th for a full refund.
Les Schwab is far and away the best tire store on the planet

*If* you have a les schwab nearby, they will sell you chains, and take them back for a full credit at the end of the season if you don't install them.

Never had a need for them. Just gotta learn how to drive. And they are illegal in most states I think.

Well I'm going up to Big Bear, CA in a few days. I've never driven in the snow, much less icy mountain passes.

Sometimes the people at Big Bear won't let you pass unless you have:

1. An AWD or 4WD vehicle with winter tires
or
2. snow chains
