Need to have the following changed/replaced according to the manual. How much should this cost?

Engine timing belt
Engine coolant
Brakes/Clutch fluid
Manual transaxle oil
Engine Oil
Spark plugs
Parking brake tightened

Thanks

I have no idea, although i would recommend calling around to quite a few shops in the area.

Get recommendations from friends/relatives in the area to see what shop they have used and who not to go to.

Hard to say, depends on the rates of the techs and also what level of exp they have on the car. There were cars I hated working on and charged more then others so cal around.

Also do you know how to work on cars at all? The plugs, engine oil, and tranaxle fluid are easy.

Engine timing belt - I'm pretty sure that this is a fairly expensive job. IIRC, it's around $500 with labor.
Engine coolant - Should come with an oil change
Brakes/Clutch fluid - Not sure
Manual transaxle oil - Not sure
Engine Oil - Should cost $20-$30
Spark plugs - Spark plugs are ~$10 a piece so ~$40 + 15 minutes of labor
Parking brake tightened - Not sure, shouldn't be a very complicated task, though.

A coolant flush won't come with an oil change..

qft...wtf do people respond to posts they have no clue about.

OP find a kia forum (if there is one) and ask there. Call your dealership and ask as well for the dealership price.

Call around and see who will beat it...that said you sometimes get what you paid for.

If you have local car clubs find out the guy they take their cars too.

For me locally there is a third generation shop...quality work and very cheap. They are one of the few that give their repeat customers the real shop time rather than book rate.

A coolant flush, no, but any good mechanic will look at all of your fluids under the hood to make sure you have enough. He didn't say coolant flush, now did he?

Changed/replaced = flushed, or at the very least a drain/refill. That does not come with an oil change.

Thanks for the responses. So one ballpark figure was ~$700 CA, anyone else have an idea?

I can do most of that work myself, all of the fluids are pretty easy like someone above said (can just look on youtube how to do them). But my slanted parking lot is a pain in the ass to work on, and I figure since I would have to have a mechanic do the belt change anyways I might just have him do all of the above and save me the time and hassle for a little extra money.

Depending on the engine set up You might have to do a change of the coolant anyways when you do the timing belt change as usually the water pump has to come off to get the timing belt/cover off.
It's crap like this that they will nickle and dime you on. It' something that has to be done to do the actual job, but they will charge you seperately for it.

As for things like changing the oil, trans fluid, brake fluid, They all have drains to drain it and then fill it under the hood. The only thing you'll nee dto do the brakes is a bleeder which will be about $20-$30.

Actual parts/fluids you're looking at maybe $100-$120. This could all be done in an afternoon easily if you have any mechanical know how.

He'll need to bleed the clutch as well - the easiest way might be just to hit all the bleeders and bleed them 'till clean fluid comes out. Vacuum pump ftw!

Trans drain/fill is probably on the transaxle itself - I highly doubt there's a fill easily accessible from under the hood.
