How much should it cost to have lost Money Order reissued?

Well my National Express Money Order I have purchased at Plaid Pantry store got lost in the mail and now I have to file a claim.

I buy it there because they're open 24hrs and they have one of the best price at 29cents..

but.. the processing fee for replacement is $6.00... is this high or what?

How much do other MO companies charge to reissue?

Didnt you keep the receipt? MOney orders come with two parts, the part the merchant/service provider gets, and the copy that you keep. If you have the copy, there should be a number you can call and tell them your situation.

The receipt only have address of the firm on it.

I had to Google around to find the claim form.

thats fair. most companies have have to buy insurance on your lost check because they are guaranteed funds and they turn over that cost to you and maybe a little more.
