How much should it cost to get my front two windows tinted?

I'm in Phoenix for the summer and people are saying that I should get my windows tinted. How much should this cost? I don't want to end up with tint film with bubbles underneath.

Also, how difficult is it to drive in the dark with tinted front windows? I have my back windows and windshield tinted and it's very hard to see behind me when I'm backing out in the dark.

First, make sure you know what the local laws are on window tinting. Some states allow front window tinting and some dont. Second, it's going to depend on how dark you tint it. I have medium all around on mine and it's not that bad at night but I dont know how people can drive with limo like all around. You can't see behind nor can you see what's to the side either (making left/right turns). Third, if the shop uses quality tinting film it should never bubble or turn purple. And last, I would say around $50 to $75 for 2 front windows. I did mine all around for $150.

mine all around on a coupe was $135 for 35%, I figure the front windows would be about half that.

Ah crap. I go camping quite often and find myself driving in some pretty dark places. Should I try to live without tinted windows then?

I think mine was around $225 for all around including the strip on the top part of my windshield. But that was for the really good stuff. The just the front two I would say around $100.

i have 35% up front and 15% or 20% in the rears. good overall for me. sometimes reversing can be a little harder but still manageable. it cost me 115$ with lifetime warranty.

I tinted for looks and privacy.

If anything i know 3m makes a clear tint that block out 98% UV rays but it is clear. not sure if they have them at your local places. would be a good idea if you wanted to go that route. but i would say get 50% its barely noticable but it will give you protection from UV

You can always roll the windows down if it is a problem.

Those of you who have had this done in the Phoenix area and would recommend the company, can you give us some names? I'll be moving there in 2 weeks and will also need my windows tinted.

That, and make sure not to roll down your windows when freshly tinted. I accidentally did it when going into the parking garage at work (scanning key card). Luckily, my car was broken into and that windshield was replaced. Well, maybe not luckily. ;)

haha, BACK WINDSHIELD? that sounds funny...

I got my car tinted all around (4 sides, the rear window) 15% for 225$, with a lifetime warranty if bubble occurs...which it shouldn't, if they are any good.

i have zero issues seeing at night, and man tint REALLY lowers the amount of DBAGs with high brights on behind ya.

I gladly accept my 120$ tint tickets from the popos when they pull me over, haha.

I find auto-dimming mirrors work even better then tints. :D

I got 35% all around including the front windshield on my last car. It's great during the day. Keeps the heat and glare out, but at night it kinda sucks. Definitely makes it harder to see.

I have 5% on all my rear windows, and I never really have a problem driving at night, but I have excellent vision. The dickheads with lifted trucks and unadjusted headlights still blind me. YMMV.

cost will depend on the film type..metal based are a bit less than Ceramic...the manufacturer makes a big difference to
Huper-Optik..top end$$$

I got Formula 1 Pinnacle Ceramic tint(15%) on my BMW 650i convert for 2 front windows, 2 small rear and back window and it was $250 w/tax
