I have 512 ram (actually 384 because of dumb integrated graphics. How much should I set my virtual memory min/max to? I have read somewhere that if you keep them the same, they increase performance. Should I do that and how much should set it to?

Short answer: let windows manage it
This topic has been discussed numerous times, and you'll pull up a plethora of information using the search feature.

I agree with John. Just let windows handle it; With as little as you have, there is little/no benefit to defining custom min/max values.

The only disadvantage I could see by letting Windows manage it is that you'll probably over-allocate a bit. But it's only like 1-2GB, so it really doesn't matter.

I agree with everybody else. Simply let Windows manage it. Unless you are running into problems there is no reason to mess with it.
