My wife's uncle's second wife (my wife's aunt is deceased) asked me to make him a DVD for Christmas with a bunch of famiy photos to some music. I told her, sure, no prtoblem.
My mistake was in assuming that the family photos would be digital. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
I have a stack of photographs about three inches thick I'm in the midst of scanning.
Then I have to put them onto DVD, with the music she's written down, get it burned, etc. Not to mention sorting the photos by age - and most of them haven't got any dates written on the back. So I need to guesstimate.
I usually charge $5/DVD for doing home movies, but that's easy - just pop it in the VCR, hit play while the Hauppauge is capturing, and go do my thing.
Would $100 be excessive, given all of the work she's laying on me (and at the last minute)?
Update 1/3/08 - She offered $125.
