16 MB Diamond Stealth Vidoe card
24x CD
20 GB HDD
ZIP drive
Win 98

Local classifieds eh? In my area, that machine would be listed at $700 in the weekend paper.

Now, a reasonable price would be around $300 as you have suggested.

You guys have to remember - he isn't trying to sell it on a tech sawvy BBS. He is trying to sell it in a newspaper where the clientel are the same people who think that the $899 Emachine + $400 MSN rebate IS A STEAL!!!!

Murpheeee, if you have a college campus nearby, talk to their advertising/business department and see if you can post the machine there as well. There are always college students looking for some nice, cheap computers to type papers on....especially with finals coming up :)

I've been selling PCs like that with 128 mb of Ram
for about $300.
Try to build a working PC for $300, unless you can scavage enough used parts, hard to do and for someone who just wants a whole unit, basic computing AND only has $250 to $300 to spend its the right kind of solution for them.
They can still upgrade proc and ram and it has a big hard drive in it, decent video. CD's a little tired.
Put it in the local classifieds
