I'm ordering the Abit KR7a133- R next week and the XP1900. I plan on using XP Pro and using it mainly for Internet/MP3 and a few games (Sims/Dungeon Siege/Freedom Force) and a few FPS. My question is would a stick of Crucial PC2100 256 CL=2.5 ($75) be adequate? Or would I need to get the 512 one ($150)? I don't need lightning quick performance, but want something without that much lag. Thanks

Go with 2-256 meg chips instead, you'll get better bandwith.
I thought 256 was enough until I went to 512, much better for gaming
I have the same motherboard with 2-256megs of pc 2700 Samsung, I had 2-256 meg of pc 2100 Crucial which was almost as good.
I get a higher oc/with the pc 2700 but your not concered so go with the crucial pc 2100

2x256 is better than 1x256

I agree> If you are on a budget 1-256 will do fine, but if you can afford it, you will be glad you decided to get 512.

A video card upgrade with the $75 might do you more good than the extra RAM.
