I have a Abit KT7E on the way and want to get some more ram. How much ram per slot can it handle; could i get 1 512mb stick, or would i have to get 2 256mb sticks?

Yes the board supports 1.5gigs of ram & has 3 ram slots,so it supports 512megs sticks.

I thought that 2 x 256 was cheaper than 1 x 512. You'll save some money going for the 256 modules. You'll probably never need more than 512 MB of RAM (over the lifetime of the motherboard).

Just curious...

Why did you go with the "E" instead of the "A" MB?

I was just curious. I like to see why people have bought the parts that they have. It may shed some light on something I hadn't thought about.
I had read about the "E". I like the Abit KT boards. But I'm looking for a RAID board. The "E" article was a good read though.
It looks like a nice board, and blue at that :)
