Hi, i have P IV 3.2 GH system with ATI 9800PRO GR.Card. Curently using 512MB RAM with
XP PRO. System doesn't performs well playing Play FarCry, Oblivion, Sp.Cell games.
Do you think another 1 GIG of (PC 400) will give new life to my PC?
 
Yes.

I used 1.5GB of RAM with my older computer, and played Far Cry at 1280x1040. The memory use at times would exceed 1GB.
 
I finished :

Farcry on : AMD 1800xp , ATI 9600pro, 512MB of ram ( 1st it ran like crap , then i did clean install of xp and then it ran fine on 1024x720 )
Spliter cell 1 : AMD X1800xp , ATI 9600pro , 512MB or 1GB ram (can't remember now)
Oblivion : AMD X2 4800 , 2GB of DDR 1 , ATI crossfire X1900XT 512MB
