How much RAM for XP?

I pretty much use the machine I'm thinking of upgrading to XP for gaming. Mostly FPS and high frame rate games. Is 256mb enough or should I add more?

That should be enough, but most people would upgrade to 512. Just gives you more speed. Hope this helps.

I run a Gig with a small swap file. 512 would do fine though.

I run on 384Mb, no probs here.

With the way memory prices were, most people bumped up to 512MB, but 256MB is probably a minimum these days.

192 is also acceptable if yu don't play games and just use office and internet (dads Laptop)
