I have a techinical question. I currently have 256 pc2100 ram in my system. My geforce 4 runs really nice off of this setup with xp 1700+. Ive heard some say that is enough ram, other say go for around 7-1gig ram. Are there any documentations of apps or games running ALOT better worth the upgrade price of 83 dollars per 512 stick?

I was looking for reviews or some solid info to back up this purchase.

Thanks!

You'll notice newer games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein eat RAM for breakfast and at even 256MB of RAM you get thrashing on your hard-drive once in awhile. 384MB is the sweet spot with 512MB the limit.

I run 768mbs and Ill never go back to a lower amount, I did it for WWIIOL which is a RAM shark (perfect eating machine). Some games wont matter as much but if you touch your swapfile at all why not buy more? As for sweet spots and limits, it's all what you know.
