How much RAM does your primary Home PC have?

(If your PC happens to have an different amount of RAM than the choices listed just round to the nearest poll option. For example, if your PC has 18GB RAM (eg, 8GB + 8GB +1GB +1GB) then round down to 16GB.....but if your PC has 20GB RAM (eg, 8GB + 8GB +2GB +2GB) then round up to 24GB.)

I think that 99% of my current-usage desktop DDR4-using PCs have 2x8GB configs. Sometimes, that's not quite enough.

16GB has been just fine on three systems with 12GB on a fourth. But, as I use PrimoCache in configurations that vary, my better judgment about bangs-for-buck was surpassed by my curiosity, and I spent $180 to double the RAM in my newest system. I'm still wondering if it would be fun to double RAM again to 64GB, but common-sense prevails.

The majority of my online PCs have 16 GB. My MSI laptop, my x99 rig, my x79 rig, and my B350 Ryzen rig. I also have a Sager with 8 GB, and an old s939 nf4 board with 2GB DDR.

Had 24GB for the longest time on a i7 1366 (never used it all) but went down to 16GB with the laptop

My main rig has 32GB of LPX 2400 running at 2800....
More than enough for what I use it for.

My last PC had 4GB. That was way too little, way too quickly. So my current PC has 32. :)

32GB in my Aero15x
64GB in my Desktop
32GB in my HTPC
16GB in my old M18X R1
12GB in my NUC7I5 (4GB+8GB, was laying around)

Total overkill really, the only thing that has ever really pushed my RAM usage way up has been some big Blender scenes and wayyyy overkill 7zip compression settings.
Windows 10 with no bloatware running is actually pretty lean. Certainly no game has ever pushed things for me.

32GB in mine on a i7 3770. The only thing I do that needs lots of RAM is editing multi-layer PSD files in photoshop. 16-bit TIFFs images from 36mp cameras with lots of layers...Photoshop can eat 15GB or so during a normal work session.

Is there any meaningful difference between 16 and 32 in most workloads? Ram has been expensive enough lately that it's not a trivial cost.

Two of my machines have 128gb. The other 2 have 96gb and 24gb.

I like ramdisk.

Outside of a few execptions the answer is likely no for most folks. Certainly not enough to warrant what it would cost IMO.

Both of my laptops have 8GB, my gaming PC and TV PC have 32GB, and my processing/play machine has 128GB. The only one I ever regularly run out of memory with is the processing machine :p

I considered 32GB for my recent build but ultimately 16GB is enough for what I do and the cost jump was large.
