I have a Dual system that i am building based on p2 450's , but the case that the chips are going has a ps that is rated @ 276watts. Is this enough to run the dual system for the time being? (2months)

The only way to find out is to try it. I would say it would work, as long as you don`t have 10hard drives in it.

Yeah i was thinking the samething , but i didn't want to plug it in and watch the ps smoke before my very eyes.

I really don't think the power supply would start to smoke! It would just cause instabilty problems when using the computer.

The dual P2 450 should run OK on a 275W PS as long as you aren't throwing a ton of HDs in it or anything.

Go find a Sparkle 300 or higher just to be safe. That way you can run all the components most would run in a normal PC.

i have an 83W dell PS running:
PIIIE 500mhz
96mb PC100
voodoo3 2000 @175mhz
7200 rpm 10gb hdd
soundblaster 64V
D-Link 10/100
48x cd-rom
zip 250 IDE
floppy
2 80mm case fans
one 50mm(i think it's 50mm, not sure) fan on the voodoo's heatsink

run's just fine :)
so i'd bet that 276W will be more than enough
