im building a sff system, i will use a x2 4400 cpu, and no video card (on board graphic), i prefer an at least 400w power supply, but i then found most nice-looking media center case only have 200-300w power, and correct me here, i think these sff case use slim power supply compare with the normal atx case, so i cannot change the power supply. can anyone tell me how much power i should use for my system (x2 4400, 2g ram, 1 hard drive, 1dvd burner), and do u have any brand or model to recommend? thx all.

If you go with a mATX size case (such as the X-QPack, QPack II (slightly longer), or the MicroFly), you can use a full size PSU.

You could definitely get by with a good 300W PSU. It would be more than enough for that setup. Some good companies to look at are Enermax and Seasonic, but I don't know if they make any smaller PSUs for the SFF cases. I have an Enermax 420W PSU (full-size) in a mATX X-QPack case using a short Lite-On DVD drive and it works perfectly.
