How much power does a typical video card draw from mb ?

We always talk about how much extra power (16W) the Geforce draws. My question is, how much power does a typical card like say the Voodoo3 or the G400 MAX draw from the mb ?

GeForce2 MX will draw 4 watts, has ~20 million transistors and made on a 0.18 micron process.

GeForce256 has about the same # of transistors (less 2 million perhaps) but built on 0.25 or 0.22 micron (I don't exactly remember)

If you know how the other chips are made you might be able to approximate with this information. But i'm sure 3dfx and Matrox have their specs online.

So is there a formula based on the number of transistors and the micron process ?
