The cheapest way to send one that weighs 6 ounces or less is 1st class. Over 6 ounces media mail becomes the cheapest and it will get there in about the same number of days.
If you're just mailing a disc in a sleeve it costs $.60 in a bubble mailer.

You may want to consider insurance - it will also act as DC

when you get to shipping books on half.com, you don't get any profit from shipping... in fact you don't even get the full amount of what half.com charges the customer for shipping.

But yes, on dvds, you can make a few cents...wow.

$1.10 (actual) vs 5.30

$4.20 profit.

and if you're selling the DVD for $4, that 100% bonus

you should be factoring the total cost, the higher shipping cost is simply to avoid ebay/half fee.

I was under the impression that expedited is priority mail...at least that's how I do it when I sell on half.

Also, the last time i sold something that had 5.30 shipping, I got 4.68 from half.com. Consider the price of priority mail, and you'll make a few dimes worth of profit at best.

Also, when dealing with small things, it's stupid to go with media mail over first class. (First class is usually cheaper). Media mail doesn't become cost effective until you have books or other items that are over 1 pound.
