So, long story short:
I had to RMA my RAM... Oh wait, let's back up one step and get my specs outta the way; I have a MSI P43 Neo3-F motherboard, and originally bought the Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5D memory. Now, back to the story, I send it back and last night I got an email that states those modules are "an obsolete/discontinued product which is no longer available for direct replacement." So they give me the option of TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX instead. My question is, with my original sticks being 1066 MHz and these replacements being 800MHz, will there be a noticeable difference, or will I be better off getting something else in the 1066 mhz range instead? (Edit: I'm running Win7 64 bit and will likely add extra memory at some point in time as well.)
