...a 65" DLP TV and a comparably sized LCD or plasma TV, if they are being used for movies only (no PC or console games)?

Also, does Onkyo's TX-NR5007 receiver have any cons, aside from the clicking noises? Is the TX-NR5008 receiver really worth the extra $500 or so?

The biggest difference is viewing angles and size (obviously).

Other than that, I've seen no real PQ differences that blow me away. Also, a DLP is typically more sensitive to ambient light so that needs to be taken into consideration as well.

For movies, get a DLP front projector.

I have a 480p Infocus 4805 projecting on a plain wall and it is much better, for movies, than any regular tv at better approximating size of image, relative to seating position.

Hard to answer unless you give specific models for examples. Even two models of the same technology can have a difference in picture.
