How much memory for my digicam?

Well, looks like i'll be getting a Fuji Finepix 1400 digital camera off the net this weekend. I know the 4MB SmartMedia card that comes with it is too small for anything, so i'm going to grab a bigger one. What i need to know is how much space the best pictures it makes take up? They have some pictures taken with it on the site, they are all 815kb each, so is that it? If so, i think i'll grab a 32mb card, that's 40 pictures. Then again, might as well get a 64.. they're all so damn cheap, i think a 64MB goes for about $20? Kinda makes me wonder why they sell this card with a 4MB.

BTW, anyone know if it's a good idea to buy a cam that automatically compresses pictures to 1/4 jpeg? How much of a loss of quality are we talkin here?

I have 32mb, its too small. I would go with 64mb. But, then again, I don't really take alot of pics, mostly mpeg video.
