How much memory does XP support

Is it worth it to go from 2 gb to 4 gb with XP? Memory is about 20% the price of what it was when I built this computer.

Oh, and how big of a deal is it to mix and match if I do some mild overclocking? I got some high quality 4-4-4-12 g.skill ram (2x1gb), and I see some low latency "super-talent" memory on newegg that's cheap with good reviews.

Yeah, so do you think it's worth it to add another 2gb? It's not like I can add 1.5gb with dual channel, right?

Depends entirely on what you plan to use the computer for. Is there anything that's not getting enough RAM right now?

2x2GB is better for stability & overclocking than 4x1GB would be.

And don't pay extra for low timing/high speed RAM, it just doesn't affect system performance much at all these days. Grab some good quality DDR2-800 sticks rated for 1.8-1.9V and be happy.
