So wait, say for a Math course there are 3 hours of lecture a week and 1 hour of tutorial, is that 3 credit hours or 4?
And what about a chemistry course, where there are 3 hours a week in lecture, 1 in tutorial, and 4 hours in a lab setting?
Normally that would count for 3 credits of math and 3 of chemistry.

49 out of 104 voters majored in engineering. That might explain something.
I took 4 years as a Mechanical Engineer and then my fifth I transferred to Information Science when I got over what other people thought of what I would be doing for work and instead went for what I would actually want to do. It was an easy transfer, for some reason every class carried over. If I didn't take all of the Engineering math there is no way I'd have anything close.
Thanks for all the responses!

If you were almost done with the mechanical engineering degree why didn't you just finish it?

I did 30 hours of math with my dual degree for computer science engineering and microbiology. I also did 6 hours of Statisics... not to mention my 12 hours of physics based calculus... hmm... i did alot of math...
Its not funny if I have to explain it.Originally posted by: mercanucaribe

30 hours... that's like 5 classes!
A class is 3, maybe 4 hours around here. Where do you go to school? I only took calculus 1 differential/integral calculus.
I'm a geography major, and I should have taken statistics... but I guess I learned enough from a field methods class.

Are lecture hours the only hours that count?
