How much longer till the next architecture?

I am getting very fed up with my Sandy Bridge i5 laptop blue screening all-too often in Windows 8. I'm not sure if I have too much RAM in the machine, or it is not fully conformal with win8, however, I would enjoy replacing it with a new laptop or convertible that is better in every sense. My ASUS U43JC performs like a champ, and years on still has great battery life. Honestly, the only issues are: no further sw support, and the blue screens. At this point, I am only willing to upgrade to a new architecture. How long until reasonably-priced notebooks/convertibles on the new architecture (Intel) are easily found?

Have you considered addressing why you keep getting blue screens?

You don't have too much RAM.

Have you tried re-installing Windows, or checking device manager for anything out of the ordinary? Has it been throwing up blue screens from day 1, or is this a recent thing? If it is recent, what software have you installed recently?

Also, why wouldn't it have any further software support?

Haswell launches 2nd half of 2013 supposedly. Not sure which quarter. I'm sure the info is out there though if you look.

It took roughly what, 8 months after ivy bridge launch for the ivy bridge pentiums to be found in $300 notebooks? I would expect a similar wait for haswell. So probably after the christmas holiday. Intel is really milking this one. There is going to be a boatload of ivy bridge celeron and pentium notebooks selling for $200 come christmas, and no one is going to buy the haswell notebooks/tablets because they will be stupidly overpriced. More and more people will simply buy a new phone with an ARM chip because they can get that subsidized. I dont know why intel insists on killing off their own market, but whatever...
