How much laptop video memory do I need for Photoshop?

I'm in the market for a new laptop and alot of my work is in Photoshop and was just wondering if these onboard graphics with 16mb is good enough. I usually have at least 64mb on my desktops and 16mb and even 32mb seem pretty low for graphic intensive work. Any suggestions?

You are right RAM matters more. On my laptop, I am running 3DSMax and Photoshop with 256MB RAM, and I only have a 32MB Gfx Card.

Not that I am doing much more than retouching photos, but photoshop 5 runs just fine on my wife's laptop with 256MB and 2.5MB of video memory.

yeah, stock up on the system memory, video memory isn't as important as 4MB of video memory should be enough for photoshop
