No idea on the square footage, but it's two story - 3 bedrooms, large living room, large dining room, large rec room, but an unfinished basement. Also a garage, two bath, and the yard from front to back is about 350 feet long. I think it was appraised around $250,000

Do you Californians realize how rich you could live if you moved? Take that money to a more reasonable city and buy a mansion.

Skoorb , don't tell them that. They just might do it.

Actually quite a few Californians have sold and moved up to Washington and bought themselves a big fatty house on the east side. 🙁

Just under 2000 sq ft, 3 bedroom house with large garden in front and back for at least $85,000 in Charlotte, NC.

The good part about it....is that I own the house...no mortgage whatsoever! 🙂

Not all of Ca is bad housing costs! I'm in Fresno, middle of the state. My parents house is 1,800 sqft with a pool, and it's worth $140,000 give or take (the values have changed lately, so I don't have an exact number).

We paid about $430,000 for our house in clarendon hills, IL about 5 years ago. (new). With a few upgrades, its now worth about $700-750.

5200SQ ft, $550,00...we live on the side of a mountain..

Mt Graham, SE AZ. 9000 feet up..housing cheap here.

EDIT: We also own 500 acres of the mountain, worth close to a million 🙂
