Where: Union City, California (between oakland and san jose)

house
I am a broke college student and there is one of the houses I am considering buying instead of paying rent.

I don't have a clue how many sq. ft. it is guess around 1100.
worth : $52k
Where: Huntington Wv

Housing here is cheap.

Thought I would add my parents houses

Sq. ft. around 1000-1200 for both guessing
house1 Worth : $60k-70ish paid $40k 3 years ago for it but have since redone the hardwood floors and put new windows in it plus they got a deal on it.
House2 rental worth : $35ish and the only reason its worth that is the land :)
Where Cross Lanes Wv(near Charleston) for both

Christ almighty, you people from Cali are nuts. Are salaries out there 2x-3x what they are elsewhere to make up the difference? :Q My house is just over 3 years old, ~2000 sq ft, and it's worth ~$140K in central MN. (I'm just guessing, I'll get it appraised later this year)

my house 2700 sq feet and worth $575,000 if I were to sell it today (Northern Coastal San Diego, California)

it's not as bad deal as it sounds b/c it has a pool, jacuzzi, ocean view, golf course view, 3 beds, 2 bath, 2 fireplaces, big balcony, dog run, lots of palm trees, big garden, waterfall, and a good kitchen.

I own six houses in Ohio. I live in one and rent the other 5 out. Two of those are duplexes and the other three are single family homes.

All together I think they're worth about $600k.

The one I live in is worth about $140k and is about 1700 sq.ft.

1800 sq feet with a double car garage, but it actually will fit three cars. 3 bed, 1 office (the size of a living room), kitchen, 2 bath, living room, laundry room, built storage building to match house.

Appraisal: $124000, but we paid $118000. Actual value is about $130000.

In Cali my house would be about $400000-500000 on a bad day. Especially considering the location of my home. Houses are being built about 1 mile from my house that are starting at $250000. WOOHOO, keep building those houses, and the value of mine with shoot up even more. ;)
