My last power bill was $147 - I live in a 3 year old Townhouse, 1200sf. When I was living by myself, it would creep to around $100 this time, because I usually switch the heat on at this time (coldest months for FL) - this year is different, because my sister is living here rent free, and no financial responsibility means she will leave every light on in the house whenever she see fit.

Also - my house uses electricity for everything, water heater, and heat.

4 bedroom house, 5 years old, well insulated
ground source heat pump, electric water heater, all electric appliances

varies from $130 when no heating/cooling is needed, like april/may october/november up to $250 in the summer, when it stays 95F+ for a few weeks, so july/august are usually over $225

heating is less, even the coldest january/february it only get up to $200 at the most

$120-160/mo

1500 sq foot.

This is for a 1200 sq foot home with a 300 sq foot apartment. 2 Full sized refridgerators, and separate heating/cooling units. House heat is on Gas and both units have gas ranges.

1800+ sq foot house, new construction, great insulation. About $20/mo of that is from computers and networking stuff running 24/7.

Average of $150 a month (electric & gas). Rates go up 55% this year so I'm looking at $225+ a month. House was built in mid 70's with original no-efficiency windows.

2100 sq/ft home. Heat is set at 70 in winter, 72 in summer. Central IL. So hot muggy summers, cold ass winters.

about 35-37 dollars a month, last month, I bought a dlp tv, bought a kenwood receiver, speakers and xbox 360. So by the end of this month, it should be up to 50-60 bucks plus the 20% rate hike.

Used to be about $100 a month for a 1300 sq ft house.

Then I sold it.

Now I'm homeless. :(

But I got that fat check. :D

2400 sq ft usable home (I include the basement because I use it fully including heating/AC)

Electric charge: $7.80/month. So subtract $7.80/month from the bill below to see how much energy I use.

Gas charge: ~$15/month and they are raising it by nearly $8/month more if things are approved. Stupid gas water heater. I'll be paying $115 each summer in gas charges (not including the cost of the gas) for a water heater. An electric water heater would cost far less than that for the whole year. I wish it was electric so I could just cancel the natural gas service during the summer and much of spring/fall.

Shown below is the average over the past nearly 3 years.

Month : Electric , $/KWH / Gas Bill
January : $48.26 , $6.00 / $133.88
February : $42.08 , $6.00 / $107.71
March : $40.10 , $6.00 / $109.77
April : $41.29 , $6.00 / $77.42
May : $32.29 , $8.80 / $38.87
June : $65.81 , $8.80 / $26.89
July : $90.56 , $8.80 / $24.91
August : $92.76 , $8.80 / $23.71
September : $77.05 , $8.80 / $20.85
October : $43.32 , $6.00 / $21.58
November : $37.02 , $6.00 / $47.13
December : $47.09 , $6.00 / $97.42

1000sq/ft About $120/month, almost all bulbs are CFLs. I have 2 incandesants so I can dim them. But I have 3 computers running all the time so we never have to run the heater in the winter.
