How Much is Too Much for Limited Edition Apparel?

lets say you were printing a limited edition t-shirt. how many t-shirts is allowable before you know longer consider it "limited edition"?? 200, 500, 1000, 2000? I see companies regularly say limited edition this and that, but they never post numbers...i'm just curious as to what you guys think.

Personally I would consider it limited when you set a limited amount before hand as opposed to continuous manufacturing of a shirt based on orders and demand. So you could print 100,000 shirts and still call it limited because it was limited to 100,000 prints...

don't really care how high end it is. i just think that something produced in excess of 10,000 (i'm refering to t-shirts) doesn't really qualify as limited anymore. but i understand thats just me. i wanted to know what was the general opinion of "limited". 100? 1000? 2000? 100,000?
