I've got a second sytem I'm thinking about selling. What do you figure a fair price would be?

TBird 1.4
AsusA7A266
256mb Kingston pC2100
Geforce3Ti200 (Visontek)
20gb Western Digital 5400? RPM HD
4X4X16 CDRW (Compaq)
Floppy
10/100 Ethernet card
Generic CPU heatsink with a good Pabst fan
Modem
Midtower case w/300 watt PS (just got for $49 from Newegg)
Three 80mm fans installed, including one modded into two of the front 5-1/4" drive bays.
Hercules cheapy ($20) new 5.1 surround card

A guy in my office is interested. Thanks for your input.

No price checks in General Hardware.

I would go around and price it as if you were going to build it now. I would then depending on the price tell him that price and state that it is this price of newcomponets because of labor, or just reduce that price adequatly.

I would say about 375-425 dollars....

I usuallyjust add up what is at pricewatch and then based on the age of system or some of the compents times it by 70-80 percent....Some things you have new, and a few things like ram and cpu hold there price well so don't drop much there...

You can always do a detailed item serach on eBay, that will give an idea of the lower end offers you might get. I always go around 10-15% higher than an eBay offer.
