I've been trying to find a cheap laptop to buy. A friend has one that's 133mhz, 32MB RAM, 1-2GB HHD (not really sure), NIC, CDROM, floppy, and that's about it. What do you guys think is a fair price for this laptop?

No price checks.

What kind of screen.

It's not much, but the screen is a big factor.

I'm not sure. I imagine it's the "normal" one for a laptop that old. Probably 12.1 inches.

Fair price: look up what that kind of machine fetches on ebay, divide by two.

Dunno if this would be fair to your friend though, since he could auction it off ;).

I was thinking around $100-125 depending on weither it comes with a good battery, a bag, and AC adaptor. Does this sound about right?

Sounds pretty good. I bought a PII 266 IBM with 64 MB of RAM from eBay a while ago for almost $600. You should pay well under that...Hope this helps.

Sounds pretty good. I need to find out what else comes with it. I'm sure he has a nice case for it. He also said he'd throw in a serial mouse cause this doesn't have USB. Could I add USB to it somehow?

it would make a great linux machine, also if it has a gameport you could make an emu box out of it :)
