I just showed that collection to my mom and she was like: "Look how clean that looks like, and now look at your messy desk."
 your mom as that is the typical mom response 😀

slow loading

i say $10,000

$10,000 hahaha obviously you know NOTHING about vintage systems, Well I do!! He has quite A collection I have seen his collection before (not in person). He could easily pull Several 10s of thousands if he sold item in sets on ebay, I have seen collections sell like this in private estate auctions, One I went to was not as large as this but close, Went for $75,000 You see its not just the value of the individual items its the time spent FINDING some of this rare items. Some of these items are very limited and hard too find SO some rich dude will spend big money for a instant collection.

I personally have a 98% complete USA SET of NES carts (765 so far) and I have seen auctions for a set like mine sell for $6,000+ on ebay, One time I saw a complete set go for $10,000+ just for the carts no boxes or manuals. It all depends if the right person is around and he has an interest.

cool, someone in the know. couple questions then

1) for your NES collection, although it goes for about $6-10,000, how much was spent? 765*$50= $38,250 ????

2) why/when did you start to collect the NES stuff? during it's prime? when SNES came out?

3) what's the rarest NES cart in your collection? price?

Hi ok to answer your questions:

1) I have had some of the games since I was a kid, But I been collecting them to get a complete set for about 3 years I get most of them at swap meets where the people have no Idea of there value 🙂 I've bought most of my games for under $3-5 dollars each. I have also gotten alot of them for a buck or less 🙂 or in sets for realllly cheap. I have lots of dupes as well. I would say I have spent maybe $1000.00 so far.

2) I have been collecting all systems for at least 10 years I have quite a collection myself, Like I said I get most of my stuff at yard sales or swap meets. It is one of my hobbies.

3) I would say the most valuable is my "Stackup" with BOX and all PARTS (For ROB) I bought 3 complete in boxes at a thrift store for $5.00 each I kept 2 and sold 1 on ebay 2 years ago for $252.50 Final bid. The stackup cart by itself is worth like under $10 but with the box and PARTS for rob then it goes up Greatly in value.

heh, the most valuable/rare NES games are the unlicensed ones like Bubble Bath Babes and Hot Slots (both of which feature nudity, by the way) and the most horrendous game evar, Cheetahmen 2

If you could find an original Contra game at an EBgames or GameStop for under 5 dollars gimmie a ring!

isn't contra pretty common?

I am not saying its not there, Just saying its still up there in price. When I looked last at gamestop, they wanted to sell it for like 25 bucks.

I think that is more due to popularity.
