i say $10,000

$10,000 hahaha obviously you know NOTHING about vintage systems, Well I do!! He has quite A collection I have seen his collection before (not in person). He could easily pull Several 10s of thousands if he sold item in sets on ebay, I have seen collections sell like this in private estate auctions, One I went to was not as large as this but close, Went for $75,000 You see its not just the value of the individual items its the time spent FINDING some of this rare items. Some of these items are very limited and hard too find SO some rich dude will spend big money for a instant collection.

I personally have a 98% complete USA SET of NES carts (765 so far) and I have seen auctions for a set like mine sell for $6,000+ on ebay, One time I saw a complete set go for $10,000+ just for the carts no boxes or manuals. It all depends if the right person is around and he has an interest.

Regardless of its worth the worth of this set is inversely proportional to the worth of this fellow as a human being. What a silly bastard.

I just showed that collection to my mom and she was like: "Look how clean that looks like, and now look at your messy desk."

Seen it before, extremely impressive.

$10k, ha, no where close. A lot of that stuff I would safely guess is irreplaceable. Too many things is excellent condition.

That just sucks you know. This is his hobby does that make him a worthless being because he uses his money on something he loves? Is it better for him to use his money on endless kegs of beer or drugs? Would that make him a better person in your eyes. Or are you under 20 years old and can not appriciate vintage gaming where the gameplay is the most important factor NOT awesome CGI cut-scenes.

I'm sorry but I am still in disbelief at the comment you made. I guess Jay Leno is a worthless FVck for owning hundreds of cars too huh? Or how the $hithead who owns 300,000 baseball cards hes a worthless piece of crap too huh?
Or the man who has a library of books that he loves what a a$$ he must be in your eyes.

Damm it your either Jealous or your mom beats you with the "Stupid" Stick.

cool, someone in the know. couple questions then

1) for your NES collection, although it goes for about $6-10,000, how much was spent? 765*$50= $38,250 ????

2) why/when did you start to collect the NES stuff? during it's prime? when SNES came out?

3) what's the rarest NES cart in your collection? price?

I have seen NES carts being sold in EBgames and Gamestop for like a couple bucks a peice. Its the hard to find games that are more expensive. like contra. also when you have a complete set it will also raise the value of the item.

I guess you missed he's married. If he's not getting laid now, it's not because of the video games.

heh, the most valuable/rare NES games are the unlicensed ones like Bubble Bath Babes and Hot Slots (both of which feature nudity, by the way) and the most horrendous game evar, Cheetahmen 2

I am sure he bought many of them used so they price is probably about $5-$10 a game. Still, he has quite a bit of money and finding a collection like that is very rare and of course would go for more than each game individually if it is complete.
