With the legalization of pot, Colorado is going to see a lot of people wanting to move or visit there. It already made my list for vacation this summer.

Which area/region of Colorado? In California, the difference in home prices/values between San Francisco and the Sierra-Nevada foothills is about $250+ sq.ft.

Yes, there are some extremely pricey communities in the foothills where if you have to ask, then you cannot afford it. But there is also a lot of dirt cheap living outside of (or in-between) those communities, and the plains as well, where you can get acres upon acres for what a postage stamp sized lot will cost you in other communities. IOW, where at in Colorado?

What is your price range for housing and location desired? That controls your flexibility.

Do you want to have to have access to a store anytime or stock up 2 weeks at a time beacase you may not be able to get to the store?

Tolerance in drive into work for traffic and distance?

While we are on the subject of Colorado. Anyone have tourism suggestions of cities/events in either Colorado or Washington state around the third week of April timelime? Bonus points for recommending areas that have museums/parks/forests. No interest in loud clubs and other nightlife.

Am in the initial stages of planning my vacation trip.

Boulder is very expensive. The resort towns in the mountains are also very expensive. Denver is moderate. Surrounding areas of Denver/Boulder are relatively cheap - longmont, Louisville, Broomfield, Westminster, Thornton, etc.

Tell us another. Legal for use, not for sale. :colbert:
you will need to hook up with some other druggie.
Might as well plan outside of Colorado - Holland possibly:p

Snow exists in April in most of the mountain areas for skiing
white water rafting
there are museums all over the front ranges
Many national parks will be snowed in.
Steam baths
some biking and hiking in the lower elevations.

Two of the things we enjoyed the most in Colorado was the Durango-Silverton steam train ride, and the Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs. The whole Colorado Springs area was cool.
