A hole got put into one of the interior doors in our apartment. It is just a regular interior door. It's not a solid door or anything. It's fairly sturdy, but it is hollow. I'm assuming they are probably going to replace it instead of repairing it. Not sure though. Has anyone had experience with something like this?

The hole is probably around the size of an orange.

Edit: It's too late to get it fixed.

Isn't $150 a little steep?

You're better off just going out to menards/lowes and buying a door yourself and replacing it.

It'll be much cheaper, and your landlord won't look as closely at other things either.

150 bucks? ?!?!!?!? You should fixed it yourself!!! Cheap slab doors cost around 30-40 bucks in a hardboard that you paint... oak ones that you stain run 50-60 (and these are all in canadian dollars) Even a trained monkey could replace a door! Any more money than that your getting taken to the cleaners!!

I'm betting at least 200. I would charge you the cost of the door, paint, and my time. I'm a landlord btw, but not for much longer.
