How much is gas where you live?

Many higher-end high performance cars actually need the higher octance fuel and you lose gas-mileage when you use the cheap stuff so it may be worth it to get the higher octane. I personally notice a huge difference between regular and premium in my car. With premium, my car idles smoother, rides lighter, and has better acceleration overall. Last week, I put crap ass Albertsons regulr gas in my car when they had it on sale for one day for $1.19 and my car ran like crap. As soon as they tank went down about halfway I got some nice shell premium 93 octane to help dilute out the albertsons crap. Car runs much better now.

Oh yeah on milk...the difference in 2% and skim and whole is not anything related to quality of the milk...its just the fat content and everyone has their own preference.

I was in England about a year ago (when gas prices were lower).

I think it was around 90p / litre.
which is about $2 Canadian / litre.
which is about $1.32US / litre.
which is about $5.00US / gallon (using 1 gal = 3.7843 litres)

now, i know there was a lot of rounding off there....

but JESUS CHRIST gas is a lot there!!!!

Hehee, I'm soo jealous... I live in the Netherlands... It costs about..

1 guilder = 2.394 $
1 liter = 3.785 gallon (oops, 3.785 l/gallon ofcourse)
1 liter of 98 octane = 2.76 dutch guilders

When I do the maths (and I hope I did it right), I'd pay $ 4.22 for a gallon... :disgust:

Wow, I'm suprised nobody here lives in the Bay Area. Gas is definetly the most expensive here. In San Francisco yesterday premium Shell was $2.19 a gallon. That's definitly more that what I usually see, but the cheapest you will find is $1.79 for regular from a non-name/generic station.

That's £3.50 per gallon,

Or approximately $5.80 per gallon!!!

actually... you know how little i know about cars, but i think that some engines pretty much require the 93 octane

like think about this
if your scanner is running on a 12v power thingy, then all of a sudden you switch to a 10v, it doesn't just work slower, it just stops working

should use same concept for the octane
