also: does it cover breakage that's my fault? and can i do a swap just by going to an apple store?
 
apple care covers fixing the unit as far as i know, not swapping it, and it does not cover cosmetic damage i.e. throwing it down the stairs

still worth it though, since the screen, battery, or hard drive itself costs way more than 60 bucks to fix on their own, and its likely that one of those will go out with in the 1st 2 years

it covers pretty much everything except for accidental damage. it's a replacement, they don't bother fixing it.
 
How do I enroll it?

I bought the apple care plan but it is so confusing. Can someone show me how im supposed to enrolll it?

I registed it and did the enrolling thing but it didnt work.

they do fix it, but you don't get the fixed one. they repair the ipod after replacing yours, and use it for other warranty replacements, or put it in brown boxes and sell it as a "Certified Reconditioned Product".
